IU Bloomington produces over 1,100 musical performances, operas, ballets, and theater productions each year; most are free. January 29-31, 2015, at the the Buskirk-Chumley Theater, the 12th annual festival screenings and discussions to explore a wide variety of issues & situations that involve the GLBTQ communities. Event features 24 films, live performances, as well as parties and fringe events throughout the week.
June 20, 2015, 3-11 pm at Showers Common, next to Bloomington City Hall. Dozens of Bloomington’s best restaurants, wineries and breweries, plus live musical entertainment, for a festival atmosphere -- one of the best weekends of the year to be in Bloomington.
September 4-5, 2015 (to be confirmed). Last year on 4th St between College Ave and Walnut St, a weekend-long celebration of queer people and allies in Bloomington: FRI night kick-off party; SAT street festival with bands, rainbow jewelry making, drag performances, dance party area, teen dance, body painting, comedy, food, workshops + Sungay brunch.
