April 12-14, 2015, traditional Thai New Year celebrated by visiting temples, sprinkling water on Buddha in reverence, and on one another's hands to wish good luck. Also a good excuse for playful water fights in the streets, with buckets and water guns.

October annual Chinese festival, street parades, vegetarian or vegan diet observed, sexual abstinence, no alcohol, rites at local shrines and temples, entranced devotees pierce themselves, walk barefoot over hot coals and climb ladders with bladed rungs. Onlookers throw firecrackers, and the final parade ends in Sapan Hin, where Chinese paper is burned, and spirits leave the possessed.

November 24-26, 2015. Each year on the full moon of the 12th month (traditional Thai lunar calendar), people float small candle-lit rafts (Krathong) on rivers, canals, lakes or sea, honoring the Goddess of Water. Fireworks, beauty contests, bar parties.

December, 2015, thousands of people, annual parade of school bands, floats, glamorous ladyboys, followed by music festival on the beach.

Annual New Year's music & dance festival, music performances from various Thai artists & international bands on two stages at beach venues;  DJs from many local clubs, local and international crowd.
