Bus Stop Theatre
Shakespeare by the Sea

Outdoor theatre, and intimate indoor venue during inclement weather, and fall/winter/spring months. Dedicated to the development of Canadian theatre artists, many of whom grace stages from Halifax to Stratford to Victoria and back. Last year performed: Cinderelly The Wild West Musical, Taming of the Shrew, Merchant of Venice and Tom Smith's Stuipd Christmas (For Jerks). See 2015:

March 16, 2015, doors at 7:30, show at 8pm - at The Bus Stop Theatre. An evening of classic cabaret. It’s Bill Wood’s Birthday and he’s hosting a show, joined by a select group of local comedians magicians and variety performers; a classy evening of comedy, magic music…and what ever else ends up happening. Come for the show, stay for the cake. $5

Halifax Pride

July 16-26, 2015. Ten days of Queer Acts Theatre Festival, TimeOUT lectures, songwriters circle, Out Boating Cruise, OUT dancing, Saturday June 26th Pride Parade (Barrington St to Spring Garden Rd to Garrison Grounds), then dance party at Garrison Grounds; Sunday picnic on the beach and play at Cambridge Battery, Point Pleasant Park.

Atlantic Fringe Festival

August - September, 2015 (to be confirmed). The festival first raised its moth-eaten curtain in Halifax in 1991 and has grown every year since. Venues include: Neptune Studio Theatre, 1593 Argyle St; The North Street Church, 5657 North St; The Bus Stop Theatre, 2203 Gottingen St; Pier 21 Museum Railside Theatre, 1055 Marginal Rd; Theatre NS's The Living Room, 2353 Agricola St.

Atlantic Film Festival 2015

September 17-24, 2015. Annual, 8-day celebration of film and video screens an inspiring/engaging collection of 150+ films/videos from Atlantic Canada, Canada and the world. The AFF is now considered to be one of the top film festivals in Canada. Also: June-September 2015 AFF Outdoor Film Experience with public screenings on the waterfront + community screenings throughout the year.
